Remember when cancer was a death sentence? Remember when “living with HIV/AIDS” meant social ostracism even as your own body betrayed you? I wrote stories about a future that saw life beyond diagnosis. I wrote stories about The Present. I can finally see the world changing for the better, and it fills me with so much emotion, it brings me to tears. I feel Hope.
